Scoop SA is a purveyor of the finest the Fleurieu Peninsula has to offer. Specialising in seasonality, Scoop works with chefs and growers in the region to increase awareness of the availability of fresh, quality produce year round.

Operating since December 2004, and run by Rachel McMillan, Scoop fills a gap in the market, supplying and advising foodies who are passionate about local produce. Rachel’s extensive background in hotel management and tourism has enabled her to establish a business with a reputation for excellence in service and understanding customer needs.

Scoop Wholesale ensures restaurants in the Fleurieu have access to the freshest produce available. Picked to order and often delivered on the same day, flavour, quality and low kilometers are the priority. Scoop works with growers who care for their environment and practice sustainable farming techniques. Increasing the Fleurieu’s biodiversity is also a priority. As consumers demand more variety, growers are able to plant a greater range of heirloom and rare fruit and vegetables, knowing there will be a market for their fine produce.

Scoop is the chosen distributor in the Fleurieu of the award winning Hindmarsh Valley Dairy cheeses and Cicada Olives and Olive Oils. Recognised in SA and interstate as products of the highest quality, Scoop brings their products directly from the farm to you.

Home cooks and food lovers have access to Scoop at the Victor Harbor Farmers Market every Saturday in Grosvenor Gardens. The Scoop market stall features Scoop Gourmet and Scoop Gluten Free Muesli, fresh seasonal salads, preserved and poached fruits and vegetables. The range of delicate salad greens, herbs and heirloom vegetables grown at Rachel’s place in Sellicks Hill changes with each season and reflects the growing demand for produce grown without the use harmful chemicals.

Some of the smaller south coast food producers find it difficult to maintain a regular presence at the Farmers’ Market due to the seasonality of their produce and this is where Scoop comes in. Representing small local growers and home gardeners at the market is a natural extension of Scoop’s regional food business.
